My name is Rita Lorraine Parks (but you can call me Lorraine!) and I am a makeup artist based out of Hazel Green, AL. I am an opera-singer-turned-MUA and have been doing makeup professionally for over 5 years. When I was 12 years old, I walked into my first Sephora to see my cousin get her makeup done for her wedding later that day, and I will never forget how radiant she looked. How beautiful she felt. It was as if the artist brought her inner beauty to the surface with makeup... That day, a makeup artist was born. I wanted to do for other women what that artist did for my cousin. In 2017 I received my professional certification from Sephora and immediately started freelancing. Through the years I have honed my passion for artistry and established my personal style of makeup application. I specialize in bridal, glamour, and photo shoot makeup, but remain very flexible as I love to challenge myself and expand my skills and technique! The handsome man you see in the picture is my wonderful husband, Brad Parks. He is my rock, my #1 fan, the love of my life, and the person without whom this business would not exist. I believe that the Lord has blessed me with such an amazing husband, as well as the gift of makeup precisely so that I may help His daughters see themselves the way He sees them: wonderfully made and altogether lovely!
